Syrlinks’ Safety business unit finds its origins in the high-precision quartz oscillator domain. The company sold hundreds of thousands OCXOs for Cospas-Sarsat Beacons. In 2017, Syrlinks stepped in the maritime market with its new AIS-MOB (Man Overboard) emergency beacon commercialized under its Consumer Brand SIMY (www.simy-beacons.com). My-AIS is the world smallest emergency beacon for recreational or professional boaters.
In the satellite tracking market, Syrlinks is also mastering the low-power & low bit rate ARGOS technology operated by CLS. ARGOS is renowned to be a unique tracking technology for wildlife and used in various scientific domains (oceanography, climate change…). In 2015, Syrlinks designed and manufactured the new Argos 4 Master Beacons. In 2018, Syrlinks released among the world’ smallest ARGOS beacon for birds tracking, with a mass of less than 25 grams.
